About The Role

Valoris Group are currently looking for an experienced Subcontract Solar Roofer to support ongoing solar PV installation projects across Reading and the surrounding areas. This role would suit a reliable roofer with strong solar PV experience who is confident working on domestic and commercial rooftops. You will be responsible for supporting the roof installation side of solar PV projects, ensuring panels, rails and mounting systems are installed safely, accurately and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing solar PV panels, rails and mounting systems
  • Working safely on domestic and commercial rooftops
  • Setting out arrays in line with design drawings and site requirements
  • Supporting roof preparation, fixing, mounting and panel placement
  • Ensuring all roof works are completed securely and weather‑tight
  • Working closely with electricians and wider installation teams
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
  • Using ladders, scaffolding and roof access equipment safely
  • Keeping work areas tidy and representing the client professionally

Requirements

  • Previous solar PV roofing experience essential
  • Strong roofing background
  • Comfortable working at height
  • CSCS card preferred
  • Working at Height qualification desirable
  • Manual handling desirable
  • Own tools and transport preferred
