This is a key position for a qualified electrical professional who understands how to maintain high standards across live installations, documentation, testing and sign-off, while supporting engineers and driving best practice across the business.
The role:
- You will take ownership of electrical quality across renewable installations, ensuring that all works are completed safely, compliantly and to a consistently high standard.
- You will be involved in live site reviews, inspection and testing, certification checks, remedial oversight, installer support and technical reporting.
- The role will suit someone who is organised, detail-focused and confident managing quality across multiple jobs and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the quality of electrical installation works across solar PV, battery storage and associated renewable systems.
- Carry out site inspections, audits and live installation reviews.
- Ensure all electrical works are completed in line with current regulations, internal standards and health and safety requirements.
- Review testing, commissioning and certification to ensure full compliance and accuracy.
- Support electricians and installation teams with technical guidance and quality improvement.
- Identify defects, non-conformances and areas for improvement, then ensure corrective actions are completed properly.
- Work closely with operations and management teams to maintain strong delivery standards across all projects.
- Monitor installation performance and provide clear reporting, feedback and recommendations.
- Help drive a right-first-time culture across the electrical division.
What We Are Looking For:
- Fully qualified electrician with relevant industry experience.
- Strong background in domestic electrical systems and renewable installation environments.
- Previous experience in a quality, supervisory, testing or compliance-focused role.
- Sound understanding of inspection, testing and electrical certification.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current wiring regulations and site compliance standards.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently while also supporting site teams and wider operations.
- Professional, practical and solutions-led approach.
Required Qualifications:
- Level 3 electrical qualification – 18th Edition Inspection and Testing.
Desirable:
- Experience within solar PV and battery storage.
- Knowledge of renewable energy installation standards and best practice.
- Previous exposure to auditing, remedials or post-install quality checks.
- ECS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
