Valoris Group is working in partnership with a leading electrical contractor to recruit an Electrical Improver to support commercial and domestic projects across the Farnham area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual working toward full electrician status to gain experience alongside a skilled team on live installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Electricians with installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems
- Pulling cable, containment work (tray, trunking, conduit), and 1st/2nd fix wiring
- Supporting fault-finding and remedial work under supervision
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and site cleanliness in line with health & safety standards
- Working effectively with site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time
- Following instructions from site supervisors and working in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 years site-based experience as an Electrical Improver or Electricians Mate
- NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation or equivalent (in progress or completed)
- ECS Card (essential)
- Awareness of site health and safety practices
- Basic tools and PPE (or willing to obtain)
- Reliable, hardworking and eager to develop your electrical career
- Ability to commute to various project sites daily
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
- 18th Edition (or working towards)
- IPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness / Working at Heights
- Experience in commercial, residential, or renewable energy sectors
