Valoris Group is working with a growing renewable energy and building services business that is looking to appoint an experienced Branch Manager / Operations Manager to lead one of its regional operations. The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the branch, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, profitably, and to a high standard. You will lead office and field-based teams, manage customer relationships, support operational planning, and work closely with senior leadership to improve performance, processes, and branch profitability. This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who can combine operational control with commercial awareness and strong people management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the branch
- Lead, support, and develop office and field-based teams

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong operational, branch, contracts, or service management experience within a technical environment. A background in renewables, solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps, electrical contracting, plumbing and heating, mechanical services, FM, construction, or building services would be highly relevant. You do not need to come from one exact background, but you must be commercially aware, organised, confident managing people, and comfortable taking ownership of a busy regional operation.
Requirements
- Experience in branch management, operations management, contracts management, service management, or a similar senior role
- Background within renewables, building services, electrical, mechanical, heating, plumbing, FM, or construction-related sectors
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of operational performance
- Confident dealing with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and senior management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Renewable energy experience, including solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps, or energy efficiency
- Experience managing engineers or technical teams
- Experience within a growing, multi-branch, or group-backed business
- Understanding of compliance, health and safety, and project delivery processes
- Previous responsibility for budgets, service delivery, operational KPIs, or branch performance
