Valoris Group is supporting a well-established renewable energy contractor in the appointment of a Solar Installation Manager. This is a senior operational role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Solar PV installation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to a high technical standard. The successful individual will lead installation teams, oversee project delivery, and act as a key point of contact between internal stakeholders and clients.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Manage Solar PV installation projects from mobilisation through to completion. Plan and coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Track project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed cost parameters.
- Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate installation teams on site. Provide guidance, training, and support to junior engineers and supervisors. Enforce high standards of health, safety, and workmanship at all times.
- Technical Oversight: Carry out site surveys, assessments, and feasibility reviews. Review drawings, specifications, and installation designs. Ensure all installations meet design intent, MCS standards, and industry best practice.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact during the installation phase. Provide clear progress updates and manage client expectations. Liaise closely with internal sales, engineering, and procurement functions.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, building regulations, and renewable standards. Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and final sign-offs. Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Experience And Requirements:
- Proven experience managing Solar PV installations or renewable energy projects.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and solar technologies.
- Demonstrable leadership and team management capability.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable in client-facing environments.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications preferred (City and Guilds, MCS, NABCEP or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
Working Pattern: Office-based in Solihull with regular travel to live project sites. Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required to meet project demands. Mix of office-based planning and on-site supervision.
