We’re opening a warm, welcoming restaurant and bar inspired by Hong Kong home cooking, where fresh ingredients, authentic flavours, and heartfelt hospitality come together.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Head Chef to lead, inspire, and grow with us. You don’t need prior Cantonese cooking experience—just a passion for food, great leadership skills, and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide training to help you master the flavours and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a collaborative kitchen team
- Work on seasonal menus, blending tradition with creativity
- Oversee budgets, stock, and food safety
- Train & support your team’s growth and development
- Manage rotas, scheduling & cost control
Qualifications
- Experienced Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Passionate about fresh, home-style cooking (any cuisine welcome!)
- Strong leader & mentor, keen to support and develop a diverse team
- Organised & creative, with an eye for quality and efficiency
- Open to learning new techniques and flavours
Required Skills
- Leadership skills
- Passion for food
- Ability to work collaboratively
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Cantonese cooking (not required)
- Creativity in menu development
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Tronc = £60/£65,000
