The purpose of the Traineeship is to develop a skilled production manager in agroecological farming. It is ideal for someone who has the ambition to manage a farm in the future and is ready to take the next step in their growing journey towards this.
The Growing Trainee will learn practical farming skills, including tractor driving, infrastructure maintenance, and developing cropping plans. They will work closely with the Heads of Production and the second-year Trainee, gaining in-depth experience in local sustainable food production. This role is key to maximizing the productivity of the farm by growing fresh fruit and vegetables that are sold through the farm’s online shop or to restaurants in the city.
In addition to food growing, the Growing Trainee will be responsible for supervising volunteers on the farm and is crucial in enabling members of the local community to have positive, meaningful, and enjoyable experiences. We are seeking a hard-working person who is passionate, enthusiastic, and able to work with a broad range of people.
