Organic Processing Inspector in Swaffham

We’re looking for an experienced, self-employed Processing Inspector with a strong background in food manufacturing to support inspections against Federation standards. If you enjoy independent, flexible work and have solid auditing, inspection or compliance experience in processing environments, this is an excellent opportunity to work within a respected certification body. Role highlights: Self-employed contract role | Flexible workload | National Field-based inspections | Food manufacturing and processing focus | Professional reporting What you’ll be doing: · Plan, carry out and report on inspections in line with Federation procedures · Inspect food processing and manufacturing operations to assess compliance against relevant standards · Produce clear, accurate reports and identify non-compliances with supporting evidence · Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of food manufacturing, processing controls and certification requirements · Manage inspection administration, communications with operators and office team, invoicing and related documentation What we’re looking for: You’ll be organised, professional and confident working independently, with strong report-writing skills and a sound understanding of inspection, auditing or compliance processes. Previous experience in food manufacturing or processing environments is essential, and experience in organic, certification or quality systems would be highly beneficial
