We are looking for an experienced, proactive Warehouse Operative to support smooth, efficient, and safe warehouse operations at our Low Moor site. In this role, you will play a vital part in stock integrity, goods movement, production support and maintaining a clean, organised warehouse.
Location: Low Moor, BD12 0HS
Job type: 6 Months Fixed Term
Hours per week: Full time, site based.
Reporting to: Warehouse Team Leader
As a Warehouse Operative, you will ensure all warehouse duties are completed in line with Health & Safety procedures and company standards. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Team Leader and the wider production and logistics teams to ensure stock is available, accurate and in the right place at the right time.
The Responsibilities:- Ensuring stock integrity is maintained across all warehouse areas.
- Locating and preparing jobs accurately for production.
- Delivering stock to production on time and in full to support daily manufacturing schedules.
- Checking goods-in against delivery notes and storing materials safely in the correct locations.
- Maximising warehouse utilisation through effective stock consolidation.
- Maintaining high levels of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the warehouse.
- Supporting all aspects of production activities when required.
- Embedding and demonstrating Orean’s core values — Collaboration, Ambition, Expertise, Agility and Integrity.
- Carrying out any additional duties assigned by the Warehouse Team Leader.
To succeed as a Warehouse Operative, you will ideally have:
- A minimum of one year of warehouse experience.
- Experience supporting a team leader and taking on extra responsibilities.
- A good standard of education, including Maths and English GCSE (Grade A–C or equivalent).
- A valid Counterbalance and Pivot Steer licence.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to follow safe working practices and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
