Ordo is redefining oral care with high-quality, stylish, and sustainable products that fit seamlessly into modern life. As one of the UK’s fastest-growing oral care brands, we’re stocked in major retailers and dental clinics globally, with rapid expansion across the US, Europe, Australia, South America, the Middle East, and South Africa. We’re looking for a Junior Industrial Designer with a passion for packaging, POS, and sample prototyping.
This is a junior position and is not a graphic design, UX, or UI role – it’s about the design (CAD), management, and delivery of physical productions that people can see, touch, and take home. We are a creative, collaborative team entering an exciting new phase of growth in 2026.
About the Role
You’ll help create physical designs that showcase Ordo’s design-led identity and connect with customers. From premium POS designs and new packaging launches to trade show and marketing event designs, your work will balance creativity with practicality. Working closely with the creative, sales, and operations teams, you’ll deliver visually striking designs that are on-brand, on-budget, and ready for production. Whether you are 3D printing packaging samples or managing the production of global in-store displays, you’ll ensure every element reflects Ordo’s stylish, accessible, and modern aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities
- POS Design & Renders – Create and render POS using CAD software, Cinema 4D and KeyShot; deliver production units worldwide by liaising with overseas suppliers and logistics teams.
- Packaging & Prototyping – Design packaging samples and 3D print/construct prototypes to ensure designs meet manufacture and cost requirements.
- Production-ready CAD – Prepare 3D files to exact retailer specifications, understanding material construction limitations.
- POS Collateral – Produce trade show displays and other marketing production elements; assist with artwork tasks using Illustrator.
- Brand Consistency – Maintain a cohesive visual identity across all physical touchpoints and brand systems.
- Retailer & Partner Support – Adapt designs for different retailers, formats, and materials.
- Collaboration – Work with product, marketing, and commercial teams to deliver designs that are both creatively and commercially effective.
- Workflow Management – Use project management software to manage multiple projects and keep stakeholders up to date with production schedules.
What We Are Looking For
- Education – Recent Graduate of a Design degree (e.g., Industrial Design, Product Design, Product Design Engineering).
- Portfolio – A portfolio (university, freelance, or personal projects) showing creative thinking, 3D forms, and attention to detail. Applications without portfolios will not be considered.
- Technical Skills – Proficiency in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion360) and experience of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) is a must.
- Prototyping – Experience (or willingness to learn) using 3D printers and plotter cutters.
- Industry Knowledge – A basic understanding of dielines/cutter guides for packaging and POS (or a willingness to learn quickly).
- Communication – Great communication skills for extensive work with overseas suppliers.
You’ll Thrive Here If You Are
- Creative & Curious – Passionate about design and always exploring new trends.
- Commercially Aware – Able to balance high-end creativity with business goals and budgets.
- Collaborative & Adaptable – Comfortable with feedback, quick turnarounds, and a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated – Skilled at managing multiple projects and excited about implementing new automation systems.
Why Join Ordo
- Growth – Real opportunities for career progression as we grow.
- Environment – A modern, design-led office in a great location.
- Impact – The buzz of working on designs with global reach.
- Culture – A brand that values design as much as performance.
