About the Role
The Finance Analyst plays a vital role in delivering accurate revenue recognition and reporting. You will support strong financial processes, systems, and controls while providing detailed revenue analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Revenue Recognition & Compliance
- Ensure revenue recognition compliant with accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate deferred revenue schedules and manage required adjustments.
- Support statutory audits by providing timely and accurate documentation.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports.
- Conduct variance analysis on customer revenue and deliver actionable insight.
- Review revenue outturns and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process Management
- Lead month‑end close activities, including accrual reversals, deferred revenue releases, and journal postings.
- Maintain and enhance ERP systems and related processes.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and Customer Account Managers to ensure accurate reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide clear, timely financial information to internal stakeholders.
- Improve organisational understanding of revenue data, processes, and policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferable but not essential).
- Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on time critical tasks.
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Previous experience in revenue accounting or financial analysis.
- Confident communicator, able to work cross‑functionally.
