Senior Finance Analyst – fulltime – Salary – £50,501 – £58,919 (dependent on experience) – Hybrid working

About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our excellent Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst as part of the wider Corporate Services community. In this role you will be maintaining financial processes, systems and controls as well as analysing and reporting on financial performance. This role is key to ensuring we promote effective financial management across OS.
As Senior Financial Analyst you will also support the development and maintenance of controls and procedures and process accounting entries to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory audit requirements. You will also find yourself supporting development and maintenance of systems and processes to ensure effective planning, monitoring, and reporting of financial performance and position, so it’s important you are analytical with attention to detail.
A key part of this role will be providing advice and educating stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with financial policies and to promote understanding of financial information. You will be working closely with our Finance Business Partners to report accurate financial information for our business units and expert functions. You will also be supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting and analysis of financial performance and position whilst supporting planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- You will have strong technical skills, including knowledge of IFRS, VAT and Corporation Tax. UK GAAP is desirable, but not essential.
- You will have experience of management of and working with external advisors – in this role you’ll be working with our auditors and tax specialists
- You will have experience of planning/budgeting and reporting, both internally and externally

What we’re looking for
- Studying towards / part qualified in ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, or qualified by experience
- Experience preparing consolidation models and financial statements
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Knowledge of relevant financial systems e.g. D365, SAP (preferable but not essential)

Location: We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be based and required to spend approximately 2 days per week at OSHQ.
