Willowcroft offers residential, respite and day care on the outskirts of the historical Cathedral City of Salisbury within easy access of the City Centre. The home can provide residential and respite care for 42 residents.
About the role
Are you an experienced carer or senior carer with the passion to make a difference? Can you lead a small team of people to deliver outstanding care to our residents, while encouraging them to always do their best? Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Supporting the Home Manager and leading a team of carers, you’ll be responsible for planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You’ll ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and you’ll manage your time between supporting your team effectively and ensuring the wellbeing of our residents.

About you
You’ll have previous experience of working in a residential care setting with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or you’ve achieved NVQ Level 2 and are prepared to study for NVQ Level 3. You may have previous supervisory experience, such as delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters and 1-to‑1 sessions, but this is not essential. You are a positive role model with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. You motivate your team to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times, and you are confident taking charge and using your own initiative to resolve problems and address queries.
