Salary: £17.05 per hour (Mon-Fri), £18.05 per hour (Sat-Sun)

About the role

The Events Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering a first-class service to our residents. As Events Manager, you will take the lead coordinating and managing all aspects of our in-house events and activities program. The events and activities are a core part of our commitment to providing an enriching lifestyle for our residents. The events will typically align with the calendar year, national events, and the interests of our residents. Your role will involve collaborating with external suppliers, managing a team of Events Assistants, and working closely with various departments within the home. There is an essential requirement for you to be engaging and building strong relationships with the local community.

About you

You will have great knowledge of planning and delivering first-class hospitality, activities and events that enhance the life and livelihoods of our residents to live their lives to the full. Your personal positive energy, resident focus and attention to detail will make sure you and the team deliver first-class hospitality that maintains the spirit and ethos in the home and builds community and promotes health and wellbeing in the home and community.

Key knowledge & Skills

  • Level 2 Certificate in Event Planning or equivalent and/or experience.
  • Proven experience as an Events Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hospitality or senior living environment.
  • Experience in the provision of regular events and daily activities within and outside of the home (including daily excursions).
  • Knowledge and experience of producing a plan of activities and events at least 6 months in advance.
  • Budget management and negotiation skills.
  • To record and evaluate the success of events and activities as a whole and on individual care plans.
  • Ability to work flexibly during days, evenings, weekends and on public holidays as required to provide a 24-hour first-class service.
  • Ability to work on-call.
