Are you a senior experienced carer or support worker with the passion to make a difference? Can you lead a small team of people to deliver outstanding care to our residents, whilst encouraging them to always do their best? You’ll be responsible for planning and implementing the kind of care that will give residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You’ll ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. You’ll manage your time between supporting your team effectively and ensuring the wellbeing of our residents. Supporting the Home Manager, you’ll lead a team of carers.

Chesham Leys care home provides care for 62 people and is a purpose-built nursing care home, with resident well-being being our number one priority. Individual rooms can be personalised to feel as homely as possible, while each of our 3 floors has its own character and plenty of shared spaces.

You’ll have previous experience of working in a residential care setting with a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care. Supervisory experience such as delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters and 1-to-1s is beneficial but not essential. What matters is that you are a positive role model with excellent communication skills, able to motivate others to deliver the best possible care. You should be confident taking charge, using your initiative to resolve problems and address queries.
