Own features across the restaurant dashboard and customer ordering journey, from initial design through a dependable production release.
You will turn everyday restaurant problems into coherent product experiences across the browser, server and database. Your work could include making menu updates simpler, improving order-status visibility or helping an operator understand what happened during a busy service. You will work closely with product, design and customer-facing colleagues to define a useful first version, deliver it safely and learn from its use. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role with responsibility for technical direction within your projects and mentoring less experienced engineers.
What you would be doing
- Deliver complete features spanning React interfaces, server-side services and PostgreSQL data models.
- Translate an operational problem into a scoped proposal with clear acceptance criteria and delivery milestones.
- Build permissions and tenant separation into every restaurant-facing workflow.
- Review code and help colleagues choose maintainable solutions with proportionate complexity.
- Add useful tests, telemetry and release controls for the critical paths you change.
- Investigate production issues and turn recurring failure patterns into product or engineering improvements.
- Document decisions and coordinate releases with support and account management.
What we are looking for
- Strong experience delivering production web applications with TypeScript or a comparable typed language.
- Practical React experience and confidence working with server-side APIs.
- Ability to design relational data models, transactions and safe schema changes.
- Experience balancing delivery speed with accessibility, reliability and maintainability.
- Clear communication and evidence of independently owning work across a product lifecycle.
Useful, but not essential
- Experience with Next.js, PostgreSQL, Supabase or Drizzle.
- Familiarity with commerce, hospitality software or multi-tenant products.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions.
