Role Overview: A permanent Deputy Manager post has become available in a reputable nursing home in Bedford that specialises in elderly care, nursing, dementia, residential and respite care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in planning and implementing the highest quality nursing care for frail elderly residents, including those with dementia.
- Manage and motivate a team of nurses and carers, ensuring smooth operation of the nursing home.
- Work autonomously, building strong relationships with management and care staff.
- Maintain and assess the home’s high quality care standards.
- Organise and motivate the nursing team to deliver excellent care standards.
- Assist with inductions and orientations of new care staff.
- Uphold the home’s reputation as a recognised centre of excellence.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary team members.
- Perform administrative duties.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Qualified nurse – RGN or RMN – registered with the NMC.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience leading a team of nurses (minimum 5 years hands-on nursing experience).
- Passion for elderly / dementia care.
- Certifiable with NMC PIN.
