The opportunity Orchestrate Health Services is an independently CQC-registered private community mental health service, rebooting from the ground up in 2026 to fill a structural gap in the UK market. It sits between weekly outpatient therapy and acute inpatient admission, the level of care at which most preventable hospitalisations happen and which the UK private market does not currently serve well. The service is psychiatrist-led, MDT-delivered, and built around four named programmes: Crisis & Admission Avoidance, Post-Discharge Stabilisation, Intensive Outpatient Programme, and Re-integration & Recovery. Care is delivered virtually, in the patient's home, and through NHS Open Spaces coordinated from a service centre in Leicester, with national reach from day one.

We are recruiting a Managing Director to lead OHS through its growth phase. Day-1 leadership includes a named Consultant Psychiatrist Clinical Lead and a Clinical Operations Director & CQC Registered Manager already in post. The MD must be able to evidence a very strong sales/commercial track record in NDD services, Mental Health or Learning Disabilities, running the business on top of that foundation: strategy, commercial growth, payer and corporate relationships, team building, and the commercial-clinical interface that will define whether OHS becomes a category-defining UK service over the next 24 months.

What we're looking for is a rare combination. We want someone who combines sales and marketing leadership in mental health with genuine clinical understanding, ideally a former mental health clinician who moved into commercial leadership, or a commercial leader whose career has been embedded in mental health services long enough that clinicians respect their judgement. This is a full-time executive role, not a portfolio or consulting arrangement. The successful candidate will need to make regular visits to Leicester and will be hands-on at a stage where OHS needs a working MD, not a figurehead. The role will involve a need for robust action, strong leadership and, most importantly, a full understanding of what we are trying to achieve.

What will distinguish this role:

  • A clean strategic position. The reboot retires the previous premium-HNW, nurse-led framing and rebuilds OHS as a psychiatrist-led community service with programme-based, outcomes-evidenced propositions for payers, ICBs, and corporates alongside self-pay. The strategy is documented, defensible, and ready to execute.
  • A known Clinical Lead in post on day 1. The binding constraint on most mental health launches, credible consultant psychiatric leadership, is already solved.
  • A distinctive operating model. No regional clinic estate. No luxury-residential association. A Leicester operational team, a sessional MDT panel, and delivery via virtual, in-home, and NHS Open Spaces.
  • US reference points that translate. The model draws on what other organisations have proven about structured, productised, outcomes-evidenced community mental health care adapted to the UK regulatory and payer landscape.
  • A business built to be commissioned. The outcomes framework is designed from day one to produce the evidence payers, insurers, ICBs, and corporate clients actually want to see.

Compensation and structure include a competitive base salary commensurate with the seniority of the role and the sector, a performance element linked to the growth milestones OHS is building toward, and equity or revenue-share participation in the growth of the business. Full details discussed with shortlisted candidates.

How to apply: Applications should include a CV and a short covering note explaining why this specific role to the owner and Lead investor Paul Flynn. Conversations held in confidence. A full candidate pack is available on request.
