Overview

In this role you support a portfolio of clients by delivering accounting and financial reporting services, ensuring timely, compliant statements across jurisdictions. You will liaise with clients, external accountants and auditors, and contribute to tax returns and regulatory filings. The position involves maintaining accurate client ledgers, multi-currency processing, and providing technical accounting guidance to the team. This role offers scope to influence how client financials are reported and to work across a multi-jurisdictional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recording of financial information and preparation of financial statements for allocated entities with timely completion
  • Maintain accurate day-to-day client ledgers and ensure transactions align with source documents and complex flows
  • Keep accounting records up to date, focusing on bank statements, contracts, invoices, and signed documents
  • Liaise with Administration Team on accounts queries
  • Prepare annual financial statements, solvency tests, asset statements, and other ad hoc reporting to meet deadlines for tax and jurisdictional filings
  • Prepare tax returns for UK property holding with HMRC, IOM tax returns, and other relevant returns
  • Provide first contact technical assistance to accounting team
  • Maintain awareness of changes to financial, legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Meet internal deadlines with high accuracy and consistency across records and MS Excel checklists
  • Update accounts monitoring system
  • Enter time in the time billing system daily

Key requirements

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., ACCA) or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Preferably fiduciary experience in accounting for company and trust structures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Curious mindset to research and share learning
  • High accuracy, initiative, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (intermediate or higher)
  • Ability to adapt to various bespoke IT/accounting systems and banking platforms
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
