Role: Senior Planner
Location: Northeast
Salary: 65,000/75,000 + Package
The planner has overall responsibility and accountability to ensure construction projects are planned and monitored to the best standard in accordance with timescales and strategy, underpinned by the project requirements. To support the Senior / Project Managers and pre-construction team by providing a high-level planning service for the preparation of project plans, producing baseline scheduled tasks, resource profiles, and financial models.
- Assist project teams with all essential planning information.
- Create effective project plans including baseline scheduled tasks.
- Develop, control, and manage time-controlled programmes focused on design and procurement management.
- Ensure all works are planned effectively, using best practice principles of planning.
- Produce programmes at pre-construction and construction stages collaboratively with senior construction and commercial teams.
- Develop programmes in sufficient detail to cover all activities required from design management, procurement, temporary works, and third-party influences.
- Review all project programmes weekly for progress, critical path analysis, and projections to inform management of actions required to prevent slippage and enable recovery.
- Interrogate the programme to identify areas for improvement, risk reduction, and potential issues across the project.
- Assist in the trend and change process, including production of change reports, cost impact analysis, and feedback on risks and opportunities.
- Produce accurate reports that clearly identify the project\’s status across construction, design, and procurement, highlighting issues and risks weekly and monthly.
