Our client is an established regional construction contractor who had a strong track record of delivering quality construction projects across the North of England.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Site Manager to join their North West team.

Projects are delivered across a range of sectors which include education, healthcare, commercial, leisure, heritage and industrial.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include –

  • Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the construction site.
  • Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and the wider supply chain.
  • Ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the construction programme.
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
  • Managing site activities in accordance with drawings, specifications, programmes and contractual requirements.
  • Monitoring progress against programme and identifying and resolving issues at an early stage.
  • Coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractor requirements.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, design team, client and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate site records, reports and relevant project documentation.
  • Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
  • Building positive and collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the supply chain.
  • Supporting the successful handover and completion of projects.
  • Key Requirements
  • Proven experience working within a Site Management role
  • Experience delivering construction projects from inception through to completion
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements and best practice.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
