Orchard Recruitment Solutions are working alongside a national house builder to recruit an experienced Site Manager to oversee a residential housing development in Sunderland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join an established contractor on a long-term residential development, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the site.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development from a site management perspective, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the development
- Coordinating subcontractors and site labour
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
- Managing programmes and ensuring works remain on schedule
- Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
- Liaising with the client, subcontractors and other site management
- Managing materials, deliveries and site logistics
- Ensuring plots are delivered to the required quality standards
- Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
- Driving the project forward and ensuring key deadlines are achieved
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Site Manager within new build housing
- Strong knowledge of residential construction
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- First Aid
