Our leading Financial Services Sector Client is continuing a high growth trajectory, coupled with an ambitious transformation programme. They are now seeking a Regulatory Technician to join the Compliance Team.
As Regulatory Technician, you will contribute to the output of the Compliance Team to achieve regulatory compliance objectives across the Group and its supported legal entities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Management of the Compliance Function query mailbox, including allocation of queries to Regulatory Officers, and where possible, resolution through own initiative
- Log breaches reported by the business on relevant registers
- Act as a support role for all Regulatory Officers in the Compliance Team, with a view to developing similar skillsets and specialisms
- Review and sign off for literature, including Financial Promotion approval
- Compile reports and management information for International and Group businesses
- Management of the Regulatory Reporting Diary Reminder process
- Maintenance of Compliance Team registers
- Carrying out regulatory horizon scanning
- Identify opportunities for improvements to compliance processes and ensure compliance procedures are updated as required
The ideal candidate for the role of Regulatory Technician will be:
- Able to demonstrate good organisational skills: able to work proactively, to prioritise work and to work well under pressure
- Right First-Time attitude and able to communicate to all levels
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks within a Governance, Risk & Compliance Function
- Working knowledge of UK and ROW Financial Promotions rules
- Display honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Good organisational, administration and interpersonal skills
- Solution orientated with good attention to detail
- Flexible in approach and willing to learn new things and take on new responsibilities
