Our long-established Douglas-based Corporate Service Provider, part of a diverse group of companies, is seeking an experienced Client Accountant to join their established, friendly team.
As Client Accountant here you will:
- Support administrators by providing responses to accounting queries from clients
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for a portfolio of clients, including aircraft, yachting and investment companies and trusts
- Preparation of management accounts for clients
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns for clients
- Review of VAT returns for client companies, VAT Business Plans, and liaise with VAT office
- Assist with Income Tax Economic Substance S84 enquiries
- Assistance with project to transfer client accounting records from VT to NAV One
- Liaise with administrators, auditors and third parties to offer the highest standard of service to all clients
- Maintain the department's compliance with legislation, policies and procedures
- Attend operational meetings
The ideal candidate for the role of Client Accountant will be:
- ACCA/ACA qualified or similar preferred, but will consider qualified by experience
- Knowledge and understanding of UK GAAP, FRS 102 s1A, IFRS
- 3-5 years experience preparing financial statements for a portfolio of active clients in a CSP environment
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work without direct supervision and to tight deadlines
- Professional and approachable demeanor, good communication skills, and a team player
Desirable:
- Knowledge of VT and NAV One would be an advantage
- Experience of accounting for aircraft owning companies would be desirable
