Orchard Professional Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Yard Operative / FLT Driver to join their busy operation in the Wakefield area.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the yard while maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and control vehicle loading and unloading activities.
- Operate a Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
- Support general FLT and yard operations.
- Oversee the day-to-day organisation of the yard.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the site.
- Carry out quality checks where required.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (essential).
- Previous experience working within a busy yard or warehouse environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and reliable approach to work.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
