Group QHSE Manager
We are looking for an experienced Group QHSE Manager to lead Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental standards across our two manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain QHSE management systems and ensure legal, regulatory and customer compliance.
- Manage and improve the Quality Management System, including ISO 9001, audits, corrective actions and customer complaints.
- Lead Health & Safety activities including risk assessments, incident investigations, training and contractor safety.
- Oversee environmental compliance, waste management, recycling, energy reduction and sustainability initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
- Monitor QHSE KPIs and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Coach and support managers and supervisors to promote a strong QHSE culture.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Senior Leadership teams.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ QHSE, HSE or Quality Management experience within manufacturing.
- NEBOSH General Certificate and Internal Auditor qualification.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO 9001.
- Experience leading audits and continuous improvement projects.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within furniture, woodworking, upholstery or timber manufacturing would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or Lean/Six Sigma would be beneficial.
Occasional travel between UK sites will be required.
