About the Role
You will be required to upholster furniture to the required specification and quality standards, ensuring products are completed efficiently, safely and in line wirth conponay procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and upholster furniture in accordance with design specifications and approved methods
- Work to established quality standards and complete products within agreed timeframes
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies, including correct use of personal protective equipment
- Ensure all tools and machinery are maintained in a safe and operational condition
- Handle materials and finished products carefully to avoid damage
- Follow departmental housekeeping standards at all times
- Keep training records up to date and participate in ongoing skills development
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management
- Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in upholstery or furniture manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good understanding of safe working practices within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet production targets
- Reliable, punctual and proactive approach to work
