Location: Southwark

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, Term time only (36 working weeks)

Orchard Hill College is an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, November 2019) offering life-changing learning opportunities to young people and adults with a range of special education needs and/or disabilities. We have nine vibrant community-based College Centres across London and Surrey, where dedicated, specialist teams deliver various programmes to meet over 400 students\’ needs.

Students with us have diverse needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and behavioral difficulties, and medical needs. Each student\’s learning program is tailored to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations, develop skills for independence, and become active community members.

Role and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be energetic, driven, and bring innovative approaches to student enrichment and promoting student voice. An understanding of youth trends, social media, and engaging young adults with barriers to learning and SEND is essential.

The Student Enrichment and Engagement Officer will oversee areas such as cross-college enrichment, holiday programs, student voice, and alumni community development. The goal is to enhance student skills, increase participation, and empower learners to have a voice within college and their community.
