We are looking for a leader who can provide specific curriculum expertise to our teaching teams, model good practice and assist the Deputy Head of College Region in managing the quality of teaching and learning within the department. This role involves leading on a specific curriculum area, assisting with the development of the curriculum, allocation of resources, supervision and support of staff to ensure effective, learner‑centred teaching that meets the needs of adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. It will involve working in collaboration with Carers, Therapists and personnel from Social Services, as well as internal colleagues. You will also work with the management team to further develop the College into a valuable resource centre for fellow professionals.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher or Equivalent.
  • Experience of teaching students with SLD, PMLD and or ASC and evidence of having high standards of education for all students.
  • Experience of leading a team of lecturers and supporting them on areas of the curriculum.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and the ability to promote the safeguarding and well‑being of vulnerable students.
