We are looking for an inspiring, resilient andcompassionate Maths Teacher to join our team.

The successful candidate will bepassionate about making Mathematics accessible and meaningful for pupils with SEMH/ASD needs, creative in their approach to teaching and learning, andcommitted to helping pupils build confidence, close gaps in learning andachieve their full potential both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Mathematics lessons that meet the diverse needs and starting points of pupilswith SEMH/ASD and associated learning needs.
  • Create a positive, safe and structuredclassroom environment that promotes emotional regulation, resilience andconfidence in Mathematics.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider staff to provide a holistic and personalised approach tolearning.
  • Monitor and assess progress in Mathematics, identify gaps in learning, maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCPreviews and reports.
  • Contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum and the wider life of the school, including enrichmentactivities that promote numeracy and problem-solving.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with the ability and subject knowledge to teach Mathematics; experience insecondary or special education settings is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for Mathematics and forsupporting pupils with SEMH/ASD needs, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
  • Strong Mathematics subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing, trauma-informedapproach.
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of amultidisciplinary team, demonstrating empathy, patience, and resilience.
  • Commitment to continuous professionaldevelopment and a strong belief that every child can achieve and succeed.
