Rates of pay:
- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care: £12.81 per hour
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care: £13.80 per hour
Introduction to the role:
Orchard Care Homes is at the forefront of delivering high quality individual care to meet the person’s needs. Our focus is on ensuring medication is appropriate and providing meaningful activities to everyone. As one of our Senior Care Assistants, you will be responsible for assessing the individuals' needs and formulating person-centred care plans, ensuring that medical, physical, and emotional needs are met. Administering medication safely is paramount; all our senior care assistants are provided with additional training to ensure competency and knowledge of the medication used in our homes. You will have previous care experience, within Older People’s care or within a dementia setting. It is preferable to have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. However, if you are qualified to Level 2, we will support you to achieve your Level 3 via our career pathway.
Main Duties:
- To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate a high personalised standard of Nursing care which meets the individuals' needs and the high standards expected at Orchard Care Homes.
- To always ensure individuals are treated with respect and dignity and that individual’s rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.
- You will be a team player who will lead, supervise, support and develop the care team.
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be closely liaising with external professionals, individuals and relatives.
