Introduction to the role
Orchard Care Homes is at the forefront of delivering high quality individual care to meet the person’s needs. Our focus is on ensuring medication is appropriate and providing meaningful activities to everyone. You will work closely with our care team and liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure all individuals receive the highest standard of person-centred care.
As one of our Dementia Nurses, you will be responsible for assessing the individuals needs and formulating person-centred care plans, ensuring that medical, physical, and emotional needs are met. Administering medication safely is paramount, all our nurses are provided with additional training to ensure competency and knowledge of the medication used in our homes.
A key part of the role is supporting care staff to deliver high quality care. You will need to be a team player and passionate about developing a team ethos. You will need to have a current NMC registration and a good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices to join us as a Nurse. You will be experienced in producing well-developed care plans and understand regulatory frameworks. You will be dedicated and compassionate, approachable, and committed to delivering person-centred care.
Main Duties
To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate a high personalised standard of Dementia Nursing care which meets the individuals needs and the high standards expected at Orchard Care Homes.
To always ensure individuals are treated with respect and dignity and that individual’s rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.
You will be a team player who will lead, supervise, support, and develop the care team.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as will you be closely liaising with external professionals, individuals and relatives.

With good road access to Wessington Way, Lansbury care home is a single-storey modern home that has been purpose-built to provide specialist care tailored to both younger adults and older people living with dementia.
