We are currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in the daily running of the home and to help lead our team with professionalism, empathy, and a shared commitment to excellence. Lansbury provides both Residential Care and Residential Dementia Care through our award-winning Reconnect model. As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting both areas, ensuring high standards of care and a positive experience for residents and staff alike.

Reconnect is Orchard Care Homes\\\’ award-winning model of dementia care, designed to help people living with dementia reconnect with the life they love. These specialist communities are built around the principles of independence, engagement, and meaningful living. Reconnect communities feature:
- Homely environments with fully equipped kitchens and utility rooms
- Dedicated hobby spaces such as gardening rooms, DIY workshops, and creative studios
- A higher ratio of dementia-trained staff providing 24/7 support
- Personalised care plans and innovative wellbeing monitoring technologies
Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Lead, supervise, and support the care team to deliver outstanding care.
- Participate in assessments and care reviews, acting as a key contact for residents, families, and staff.
- Foster strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Promote a positive, resident-focused culture in line with our \”Good\” CQC rating.
Qualifications
- Brings proven experience in a leadership role within a care environment.
- Holds a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or is actively working towards it (minimum Level 3 in Adult Care or Health and Social Care required).
- Exhibits strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively.
- Naturally fosters a positive and supportive team culture, putting others at ease and promoting collaboration.
- Demonstrates solid knowledge of medication management, EMAR systems, and care planning.
