Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant ready to take the next step into leadership? We’re looking for a dedicated Night Care Manager to join our team at Thornton. This is one of two Night Care Manager roles, working back-to-back to provide consistent leadership and support across all seven nights. Each manager works three night shifts per week as one of four Senior Care Assistants on duty, plus one supernumerary shift every fortnight focused on management responsibilities. You’ll play a key role in supporting the night team, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring the smooth running of the home overnight.
Rates of pay – £15.23 per hour
Full Time – 44hrs per week
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the night care team to maintain high standards of care
- Carry out regular welfare checks on residents and respond to their needs
- Ensure all care plans are followed and updated as needed
- Act as the senior point of contact on-site during night shifts
- Maintain accurate records and handover reports for the day team
- Ensure the home remains a safe and calm environment overnight
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a senior care role (e.g., Team Leader)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and calm under pressure
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and CQC regulations
