Care Assistant – Days at The Green, Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside, TS23 1JS. Closing Date: 30 September 2025.
Pay: £12.21 – £12.46 per hour. Hours: 22-44 hours per week (days).
Care Assistant – Days
The role of a Care Assistant is to support people living in Orchard homes with dignity and respect, helping them engage in meaningful activities and ensuring they receive the best support in line with their individual needs.
Main Duties
- Enable people to remain as independent as possible while providing support and assistance per the individual’s needs, including delivering personal care (washing, dressing, oral care).
- Be understanding and patient, encourage participation in leisure activities, and support individuals and groups with outside appointments and leisure outings as appropriate.
- Make and change beds, tidy rooms, undertake light cleaning, and help keep the home clean, pleasant and welcoming at all times.
- Assist with serving meals and drinks, presenting meals attractively and providing appropriate support at mealtimes.
- Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant to the role (Health & Safety, COSHH, Care Standards Act) and infection prevention and control policies to maintain a safe environment.
