An exciting opportunity has arisen for Childcare Practitioners to join a new and forward-thinking company, who values its workforce with competitive and negotiable pay rates. Orchard ACG is a new and growing Therapeutic Children’s Residential Service offering a solo placement for a child aged between 6-17 years.

Location: Wythenshawe, Cheshire and Nelson, Lancashire

Salary: From £25,000- up to £34,000 (Effective from 1st April 2024)

Sleep ins: £65 per sleep-in (working approx. 4-8 sleep ins per month, an additional £3,000 -£6,000 P/A)

Shift pattern: Various shift patterns 1 on, 2 off or 2 on 4 off, waking nights.

Hours available: Full time (39 hours)

Shift Start Time: 10:00am until 11pm inclusive of a sleep in.

What do you need?

  • Ideally some previous experience of working with young people and children.
  • Genuinely enjoy working with young people and are committed to expressing genuine care towards them.
  • Be committed to providing a homely and nurturing environment.
  • Understand the importance of basic childcare, routine and nurture to help with the recovery of the young people’s emotional and physical wellbeing.
  • Have a sense of humour with professional boundaries and enjoy young people’s company.
  • Be self-reflective.
  • Ability to relate to our young people and share interests and encourage hobbies.
  • Be committed to engage within a learning environment.
  • Are over the age of 21 with a full UK driving licence.
