Role Overview

As a BDR, you will engage IT decision‑makers across our target markets, primarily Belgium & Luxembourg. You’ll learn to articulate our value proposition, qualify client challenges, and secure high‑quality meetings. This role suits ambitious graduates who are sharp, resilient, curious, and driven to progress quickly within a merit‑based sales career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development
  • Identify and target high‑value prospects across Belgium & Luxembourg.
  • Speak daily with C‑Suite executives.
  • Run structured outbound campaigns via calls (100 per day), email, and LinkedIn.
  • Secure meetings with IT and business leaders.
  • Demonstrate understanding of challenges in our core industries.
  • Sales & Client Engagement (For candidates progressing beyond BDR)
    • Lead discovery and needs‑assessment conversations.
    • Translate requirements into solutions across our five pillars.
    • Coordinate with delivery leads to scope and define solutions.
    • Present Orcan’s offering and value proposition.
    • Support proposals, timelines, and commercial discussions.
  • Pipeline & Revenue Growth
    • Maintain a strong pipeline of meetings, opportunities, and active deals.
    • Track activity, conversion ratios, and revenue impact.
    • Grow accounts through consistent follow‑up and relationship management.
  • Brand Representation
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients.
    • Communicate clearly, professionally, and consultatively.
    • Uphold Orcan’s reputation for senior‑led, high‑quality delivery.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Essential

    • 10 GCSEs (6–9), including at least a 6 in Maths and English
    • 3 A‑Levels (A*–B)
    • BA/BSc (Hons) degree (2:1 preferred; 2:2 considered)
    • Prior BDR/SDR internships, placements, or experience presenting, selling, or engaging stakeholders (e.g., tech societies, AWS/AI events)

    Preferable

    • French or Dutch proficiency
    • For advanced roles: experience in client meetings, needs assessment, solution scoping, and deal management

    Initial working model: Office‑based, 5 days per week, with the option to move to hybrid later.
