Join NatureScot, Scotland's Nature Agency, as an Operations Officer in Orkney. We are seeking a passionate environmental professional to protect and restore our natural world. In this role, you will help shape a nature-rich future by advising land managers, monitoring protected sites (SSSIs), and supporting critical initiatives like Peatland Action and the Nature Restoration Fund.
Initially spending half your time on the islands, you will develop a vital biosecurity and delivery plan following the Orkney Native Wildlife Project stoat eradication. The remaining time will see you delivering our Development Advice Service, advising authorities, and representing NatureScot within the local community to address climate change and ensure sustainable biodiversity.
