This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new 'Greenfield' build of a Group Data Office for a FTSE 100 organisation. This is a strategic and important role that reports directly to the Group CDO along with five newly appointed 'Heads of'. It will suit someone with a strong Enterprise Data Architecture background, who has experience working across Group structures (multi-brand, parent company, etc.) and tackling significant architecture challenges at a Group level.
Role Purpose
Responsible for defining the Group’s North Star for Data architecture, ensuring technical consistency, scalability, and future readiness. This individual will act as the strategic architect to align data platforms with customer-centric goals and drive longer-term opportunities to support convergence across the Group’s multi-brand, multi-geography architectural landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a senior advisor across Enterprise Architecture, applying key expertise to provide support across key Architect teams, bringing thought leadership across the organisation.
- Define Group-wide standards and the long-term roadmap to unify disparate entity architectures into a cohesive, scalable ecosystem.
- Engineer the architectural blueprints required to enable a seamless 360 Customer view and cross-business line Data integration.
- Set the Guardrails for modern Data platforms to accelerate innovation while eliminating technical debt and duplication.
- Oversee and facilitate discussion on Group-wide tool selection, via constructs such as the Architecture forum, to maximise investment impact and ensure cross-entity reusability.
