Role Overview
Orbital is looking for a Content Manager focused on multi-format written content production and distribution, specific to Orbital's product suite, target audience and community engagement. This is a role for someone who can turn scientific ideas into clear, compelling, high-impact writing for a technically literate audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Orbital's editorial voice, tone and standards across all written content.
- Thought leadership within relevant Orbital industries including Data Centres.
- Act as an editorial partner for Orbital's team.
- Establish editorial processes: briefing, drafting, review and publication.
- Lead the production of high-impact content including presentations, product specifications, technical blog posts, scientific explainers and editorial deep dives connecting materials innovation to data centre performance, energy efficiency, cooling, and sustainability.
- Track and interpret developments across AI and data centre infrastructure to inform timely, credible content.
- Focus on driving engagement throughout relevant audiences spanning the Data centre, energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Relevant content built to enhance Orbital's positioning with Deep-tech investors and technically fluent decision-makers.
- Drive engagement within AI Researchers, Chemists and Engineering communities on a global basis.
Qualifications
- Outstanding writing and editing skills, with strong long‐form examples; proficient in using LLMs and tools to execute efficiently and at scale.
- Comfort writing about deep‐tech products (e.g., compute, energy, cooling or industrial technologies) for different core audiences including customers, domain experts, etc.
- Strong editorial judgment, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
- A builder mindset with a genuine passion to create a foundational content function from scratch.
