Orbital Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established building services company that has been supporting local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts and private sector clients for over 45 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Wet Works Engineer to join their team working on contracts across North Hertfordshire. You will be responsible for carrying out wet work plumbing duties including cylinder and radiator replacements, heating system upgrades, installation of 2-port and 3-port valves, pumps, pipework, and power flushing. Main Responsibilities: Install and replace cylinders, radiators, pumps, valves, and associated controls Attend and resolve water leaks in both occupied and unoccupied properties Conduct all works in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and risk assessments Ensure correct PPE and uniform are worn at all times when representing the company Respond to job calls within target times and report any delays to management Identify and request materials and parts as needed Accurately record work using a handheld device Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested Person Specification: The ideal candidate will: * Have excellent plumbing skills and problem-solving ability * Be able to work independently in a lone-working environment * Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills * Be a team player, safety conscious, and methodical * Hold a valid CSCS card * Be asbestos aware * Be trained to work safely with vulnerable people * Have a good understanding of risk assessment procedures * Be willing to work in confined spaces and at height * Be based in, or willing to travel to, SG, AL, MK, WD postcodes Essential Qualifications/Skills: * Relevant plumbing qualifications * G3 Unvented Certification (essential) * Full UK Driving Licence (Gas qualifications are desirable but not essential) Benefits: * Weekly pay via BACS * 21 days annual leave (rising to 25 with service) + statutory holidays * Electric Car Scheme (Salary Sacrifice – personal use allowed) * Auto-enrolment pension scheme * Life insurance * Employee Assistance Programme * Staff discounts and referral scheme * Company van, mobile phone, and uniform provided (Please note: private use of company van is not allowed) * 3-month probationary period * Ongoing training, development, and career progression opportunities Why Apply?
