We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Welding and Fabrication, with the ability to work with steel plate up to 200mm. This role requires MIG Welding experience and proficiency in using hand/power tools and cutting torches.
Duties
- Weld and Fabricate heavy steel plate according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Perform Welding tasks using MIG Welding techniques, ensuring high-quality Welds that meet industry standards.
- Utilise hand/power tools and cutting torches for cutting steel up to 200mm thick.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality control standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Time served in Welding and Fabrication.
- Proven experience in Welding and Fabrication, particularly with steel plate.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to Fabrication tasks.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools/cutting torches safely and effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
