Orbital Recruitment are working in partnership with a high-quality engineering manufacturer in DE22 Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Fitter who takes pride in their workmanship and is looking for long-term, stable work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The Role - Vehicle Fitter
Working as part of a skilled fabrication and welding team, the Vehicle Fitter will be responsible for carrying out high-quality fitting, modification, and finishing work on vehicles and specialist equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting vehicles and components to ensure work meets quality standards
- Carrying out fitting, modification, and repair work on vehicle structures and assemblies
- Cutting, grinding, sealing, and finishing components to a high standard
- Using hand and power tools safely and accurately
- Supporting fabrication and welding teams
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Fitter, or within vehicle assembly/fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Understanding of fabrication and welding processes
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
- Experience within engineering or manufacturing environments is highly advantageous
Hours & Benefits
- Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (39 hours per week)
- Early finish on Fridays
- Overtime available at enhanced rates
