Orbital Recruitment are currently looking for an Production Foreman for our client based at their Somercotes Site near Alfreton. To develop and implement best solutions for operational performance within the Somercotes, Rail Business. To provide support and problem resolution for the Site Team, all around site, with the inclusion of mobile plant. To ensure that all plant and site people, systems & equipment conform to external and internal Health and Safety regulations and that all regulative inspections are completed and actions addressed in a timely manner. All processes are to be scheduled and completed in line with agreed internal approval and cost requirements and external legal requirements. In support of the Works Manager, organise and control the site operations team to ensure customer demand is met at lowest cost consistent with running a safe operation in compliance with legal requirements and client policies & procedures. Duties: * To uphold, enforce and manage all safety regulations set out by the HSE and the client. * To ensure you and your team meet all the quality standards, so our safety critical product maintains its high standard. * To ensure all environmental site targets are achieved and maintained to ISO 14000:1 * Must maintain all documentation relating to, H&S, welfare, site audits and inspections. * Support all initial HR process. * To competently investigate all incidents and manage all actions relating to each investigation. * To oversee and manage the smoothing running of the Somercotes site. * To build and lead a team and create a structure that will ensure succession. * To organise and plan all labour to meet production targets. * To inspire and motivate your team to be their best. * To ensure that Somercotes is working efficiently and to ensure all records for all KPI’s are up to date. * To arrange and plan all site work activities. * To resource all Materials, components, safety equipment and PPE. * Proactively improve our ways of working with problem solving, new ideas or new machinery. * To organise and plan all labour to ensure all deliveries are achieved. · Manage all stocks relating to our product Experience Needed/ About You: * IOSH (managing safely) * NEBOSH (General certificate) * Good level of experience using Microsoft applications mainly Excel and Word. * Experience in managing people and understanding the needs of the individual. * Track record in dealing with suppliers and stock control. * Be able to communicate at all levels. * Have a proactive and positive approach to change.and endeavour to inspire change to better the role. Pay/ Salary: * £36,500 per annum Depending on Experience Hours & Contract Type: * Monday to Friday * Monday and Tuesday: 0600 – 1630 * Wednesday and Thursday: (Apply online only) * Friday: (Apply online only) * 48 hours per week · Overtime is sporadic to meet business needs. This can be estimated at 10 weekends per annum. And a further flexibility with supporting our Nights operation
