Job Summary Orbital Recruitment are URGENTLY looking for 2 Electrical Improvers in the Thames Water Twickenham area (TW7) for around upto 6 months work. Ideally candidates will have Water Hygiene Passports, if not the company will arrange the training prior to start. MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE TO APPLY STARTS 26th AUGUST 2025 Hours: * Monday: 8:00am – 6:00pm * Tuesday – Thursday: 7:00am – 6:00pm * Friday: 7:00am – ~12:00pm (early finish) Pay salary: £22- £30 p/h dependent on experience Salary: * Improvers £22-25p/h CIS * Electricians £28-30p/h CIS Responsibilities * Glanding and terminating of SWA cabling with E1W and E1FW cmp glands depending on whether they are in atex zones. * Must be able to read and understand termination drawings * Cable pulling to a cable schedule and understanding of the drawings * Tie wrapping of cables * Ladder and tray installation at ground level and of a MEWP. Including Unistrut framework * Site lighting install * Small power and lighting Experience * Proven experience as an Electrical Improver/Mate or in a similar role * Industrial electrical: 3 years (required) * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols. * Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work. * Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems effectively. * Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work are advantageous.
