About the Job:
Day-to-day management of projects, ensuring that they are run efficiently, profitably, and that all contract conditions are complied with. You must ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and in a safe working manner.
Key Duties:
- Recruiting, overseeing and managing subcontractors
- Site surveys and measurement
- Preparation of Risk and Method statements
- Enforcing and monitoring Health & Safety practices and CDM regulations on site
- Production of programmes of work
- The running of projects at various sites at any one time
- Attend contract handovers from estimating
- Give accurate project labour costs, materials, and production times
- Reduce project costs
- Full understanding of each project Specification
- Monitor quality on each site
- Attendance of regular site meetings with Client, Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Planning Supervisor etc.
Qualities and experience needed:
- Good with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
- Be able to communicate accurately and timely
- Experience in liaising with subcontractors regarding orders for materials, components, plant and specialist services
Must have:
- Site qualifications to include CSCS and SMSTS
- Strong background in refurbishment, metal cladding, composite, single-ply, asbestos awareness
