Orbitech Recruitment are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our client's manufacturing team in Derby.

Our client specialise in pattern, model and tooling manufacture for the foundry and wider engineering industries, with substantial in-house CAD/CAM and CNC capability.

Their Derby facility includes multiple CNC machining centres as well as a large-format 5-axis machine with a 5000mm x 2500mm working envelope.

This role would suit someone who is confident working on 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machinery and is comfortable machining a variety of materials in a specialist manufacturing environment.

What they’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years’ CNC machining experience
  • Experience operating 3-axis or 5-axis CNC machinery
  • Comfortable machining a variety of materials
  • Ability to work accurately from drawings/CAD information
  • Good understanding of machining processes, tooling and setup
  • Autodesk Power Mill experience would be a big advantage
  • Previous experience within tooling, patternmaking, precision engineering or a similar environment would be beneficial

Salary & Working Hours

Starting salary at £36,744.40 per annum

Monday - Fridays, 8 hour shifts.

Flexible starts between 6am and 8am.

Overtime available.
