Orbital Recruitment are looking for 2 highly motivated Skilled MIG and ideally TIG Welders to join our client based in Burton. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out refurbishment work on Rolling Stock predominately on Aluminium and Steel.
Long Term Contract with the possibility of Permanent work. Work will involve working away on occasions at depots or travelling to depots such as Crewe and Stratford upon Avon.
Immediate interview/weld test. Immediate Starts Available.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Replacing worn and corroded parts on Rolling Stock.
- Must possess skills in welding corroded and worn parts.
- Carry out work in a professional and safe manner.
- Must be flexible to working both on and offsite and must be able to travel to depots at various locations on request.
- Must be able to read engineering drawings.
- Must be health and safety aware.
About you:
- Ideally Apprenticeship/NVQ trained.
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience of rolling stock vehicle and component repairs would be advantageous.
- Must be able to fabricate and read engineering drawings.
Salary:
- PAYE - £18-20p/h.
- LTD - £22-24p/h.
- OT1 x1.5.
- Lodge also paid if working away.
Hours/Contract:
7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Friday (39 HRS PAID). Please be aware flexibility is required regarding working hours. Working away on occasions required.
