Access Control Engineer Location: Westminster & surrounding areas Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Up to £42,000 per year Recruiter: Orbital Recruitment (on behalf of our client) Orbital Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established building services company that has been providing support to local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts, and private sector clients for over 45 years. Founded in 1979, the company has a proven track record of delivering successful mechanical, electrical, and security services and solutions to both commercial and domestic clients, with whom they have developed longstanding partnerships. Job Summary You will be responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of: * Intruder Alarms * Access Control * Warden Call * Communal Aerial * CCTV Equipment All works must be carried out in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act and to industry standards. Main Responsibilities * Service and install a range of Door Entry, Warden Call, Automatic Door/Gate systems, CCTV systems (including IP/Networked), and Intruder Alarms * Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) * Ensure all Access Control/CCTV works meet current British Standards including inspections, tests, and compliance checks * Provide daily updates to supervisors/managers and escalate issues in a timely manner * Perform any other duties as reasonably requested Person Specification The ideal candidate will: * Have a background in social housing or local authority maintenance * Hold a valid CSCS card * Have experience with at least one or more of the following manufacturers: ISM, GDX, ENTROTEC, SML, PAC, KMS, RECRD, GEZE, GALAXY, TEXECOM (training provided) * Possess excellent communication and analytical skills * Be self-motivated and eager to learn * Be able to work independently and as part of a team * Hold a Full UK Driving Licence Why Apply?
