Our client is a small, independent Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) company, specialising in Trend and Delta control platforms.

The Role

Our client is looking for a mid-level BMS/Controls Engineer to join their team, covering servicing, small works, and reactive fault finding across a varied portfolio of commercial sites. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and takes pride in getting to the bottom of a problem, not just patching it over.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visits across a range of commercial sites
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults on BMS/BEMS systems, working independently to identify root causes
  • Delivering small works — minor installations, modifications, and system upgrades
  • Liaising directly with clients on site, providing clear updates and honest recommendations
  • Keeping accurate records of visits, findings, and works carried out

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid, hands-on experience with Trend controls systems (essential)
  • Experience with Delta systems is a strong advantage
  • A mid-level engineer — comfortable working independently, without needing constant supervision
  • Strong fault-finding ability and a logical, methodical approach to diagnostics
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Good communication skills and a genuinely client-focused attitude
